Hopefully the start of a tradition - and I've been carrying a camera around for a few days in anticipation....
New Radiohead album out today... which was a good excuse to head down to Regents Park at lunchtime with a donated windup radio to see if I could pick up the XFM broadcast of the album at 12. Did see some nice modern art whilst wandering around the 'sculpture park' corner of the Frieze Art Fair, but apart from a fleeting soundbite, couldn't catch the radiostation in headphones.
Now I am very patiently waiting (and savouring the anticipation) to get home and click on that download link.
Spent a year wondering what this was.
Then we saw someone up there.
But this Lev says it wasn't him. Doesn't answer the question, what the hell is that? What does it do?
Any suggestions?
One at the splendid End of the Road festival - seemingly 5,000 people within one collectively excellent musical headspace.
The second I guided gorilla runners up a staircase opposite the Tate Modern for most of Saturday morning, then managed to cycle 75 km on Sunday, participating in the London Freewheel cycling amble in central London, meeting friends to go for a ride from Whitechapel, lounging in late afternoon sun in Greenwich and getting home before dark without too many navigational errors!
Achievements, all of the above.
