Last bike ride of the year, a bit overcast and drizzly, but the lure of buying coffee in Notting Hill and seeing if a few of my favourite shops down Portobello Road way were open was temptation enough. And with half a hour till the library opened at 11am why not pick a road and cycle to the end of it, come back, pick another right angle and do it again.
For the record, the bike computer is dangerously close to 1300 km.
As for 2008 - I suspect I'll wave goodbye to the pink Raleigh and find something lighter and more sensible for the kilometres I hope to ride on it. (Perhaps a correct sized frame to start with?)
Hoping to do some further sustrans rides - perhaps London to Oxford, the Camel trail in Cornwall and definately will attempt London to Brighton as soon as the days are a bit longer. Beyond that... maybe Lands End to John o Groats, if we can find a few spare weeks for it. Oh and decide on our route around the world...

Should I....
...cycle to Brighton on a crisp clear Saturday morning, sandwiched between late week Roundhouse gigs and the wonderful Cougar on Sunday evening.
..or stay in bed, cocooned against the cold.

24 hours cycling from Lisbon
Yes, its possible, as long as you have a little help.
Even if you're only in Lisbon for four days. As long as you meet up with Didier from Bike Iberia and he decides that you're cut of the right kind of cycling stuff to suggest that you should take on the Sebutal Peninsula.
Suffice to say Lisbon was still fairly hot in late October, we got to swim in the sea, and survived a hideous morning ride up (on something I swear was a motorway) to the least bike friendly rail station ever.
Full report on its way. We're just being a bit slack at the moment. Its winter you see.

The 1000 km photo
Hopefully the start of a tradition - and I've been carrying a camera around for a few days in anticipation....
